{we're registered}

whew...well after eight hours, three stores, multiple price guns, one supportive fiance and two awesomely supportive aunts we are registered. just have to go through the lists and delete some items and add some but the important thing is we did it! and last but now least look at these fancy bride and groom tervis tumblers...moonie and tam got them for us as a special little treat after today~we are so lucky to have such great people in our lives supporting us!

{new checks}

the other day i used my last check and swore i had no more at home in the drawer. i have had cute little owl checks for about two years now and thought i would look at the new designs they had out. well, you can imagine my surprise when i stumbled upon checks from my most favorite artist, kelly rae roberts!!! i debated on ordering them because i will be changing my last name soon but could not resist getting these! they came in the mail today and i love, love, love them! plus i only ordered one box so i could order more with my new last name! ahhh the small things in life :)

ps...these are pics of the checks off the website, i went to take pictures of my checks tonight and realized about the same time chris said to me..."you can't put pictures of your checks online katie!!!" whew quick save~that could have been bad :)

pps...i had two books of old owl checks in my drawer! dang it! but just think, i would have never found these!

{our first class}

we had our first pre-marital counseling session tonight and believe it or not we can't wait to go back. we have to individually fill out a booklet full of about 150 questions and we will spend the next few weeks going through them one by one and discussing differences and ways of approaching different situations. both of us walked away very inspired opening a whole new level of discussion between the two of us. i am thrilled we are doing this together and really feel this will only make our relationship/marriage stronger :)

i got these awesome kelly rae roberts wish plaques for my birthday this year from shelby ~ boy does she know me well...it means so much to me that she thought of me when she saw these...i can even remember her saying "i know exactly what i'm getting you for your birthday this year" all the way back in the fall. means a lot she put so much thought into it! so...thank you, thank you, thank you! i love them and you! :)
