my valentines day gift arrived at my office this afternoon :)

have i mentioned lately how much i love my hubby to be?? and not just because he sent me roses but for millions of reasons big and small. i can't imagine what life would be without him and am so lucky to be marrying my best friend and to be starting the life of our dreams.

happy valentines day!!!

{she did it!}

i can't remember the last time i a} watched a live awards show or b} stayed up to watch a live awards show. but last night was an exception~adele was performing at the grammy's for the first time since her surgery. anyone who knows me knows my love for adele. i have loved her all the way back when she was nobody and still love her just as much today. i haven't missed a single one of her detroit performances and even drove down i-75 going 5mph in the middle of a winter wonderland to see her live. my dad also shares my love for her. i love that i was the one to introduce her to him {he probably would beg to differ..but i did!!!}. i have been lucky enough to see her live with him twice and honestly can say he will always be my date whenever she's in town. she just moves me. she is so raw and i love how she always seems to stay true to herself. last night's performance was awesome, just like any other. she cleaned house walking away winning in every category she was nominated for including "album of the year"

so, congrats to you adele. i will forever be a fan.

with the wedding coming up i am acquiring a lot of new and "good to have" names and addresses. anyone who knows me knows i've had an address book as long as i can remember, even when i was little i remember having one and writing cards has always been a priority of mine. a few months ago when i started collecting names for the wedding i could not find my book I LOOKED EVERYWHERE...for weeks and weeks it was driving me crazy!!! i had years and years worth of addresses and loved my book that i bought in charlevoix over 5 years ago...i was so bummed. with the holidays approaching i came to the realization that i needed to bite the bullet and buy a new one so i did....

and guess what i found about a week after...

i love my new one too much to return it...oh well, i guess i have two now :)

no everyone i did not get a new puppy :) this is maggie mae or as we like to call her "maggie mayhem" our office buddy ~ she has the most beautiful blue eyes!!!
